The team you will be a part of

The Finance General team manages the planning and direction of finance process and activities. Activities include the efficient operation and cost-effectiveness of operating systems and programs.

This role in summary

This Incumbent will be responsible for the Credit Controller role in the organisation.

Your responsibilities will include

Credit Policies :

● Formulating Credit Policy of the organization to manage credit risk.

● Define credit limits & credit days at sales channel levels to minimize overall days of sales outstanding (DSO)

● Ensure compliance in terms of documentation /agreements & security while on-boarding a new customer

● Review policies and processes in line with dynamic business environment and suggest changes to leadership team

Credit Controls :

● Objective risk assessment of credit limits of the individual customer and branch including identifying risky and /or potentially risky customers based on the past payment trend and latest credit information including the financials.

● To pick up early warning signals from large outstanding customers basis current and past business trend or cases of delayed payment including cheque return cases and highlight to business team for necessary actions

● To ensure receivables are adequately backed by security & post dated cheques and deviations if any are duly approved

● To ensure credit policy is adhered properly and deviations if any, are approved as per policy/SOA

Receivables Management & Cash flow forecasting :

● Formulate collection plans for the month /quarter based of sales outstanding customer balances & projected sales

● To work closely with regional teams for reviewing collection plan of overdue receivables ● To check and ensure that the ageing statement and balances as per trial are tallied. In case of differences, the same to be reported for necessary correction.

● Prepare an ageing report with comments on all overdue outstanding.

● Driving collection & de-risking business through channel finance partners or formulating cash discount strategies

● To work closely with legal team for recovery of outstanding stuck in legal cases

Monitoring Commercial controls for :

● Modern trade Commercial Finance

● E-COM Commercial Finance

Minimum requirements

Qualified CA / ICWA / CMA with 8+ years of Post Qualification experience

Relevant Experience in Credit Control, Commercial Finance role

Experience or Working knowledge about a Manufacturing set up
