Hilton Account Manager, Area Sales Office - India in Gurgaon, India

What will I be doing?

The Account Manager will manage and grow high value and large potential share of wallet from accounts for Hilton in India. The role will look after these accounts on a local and national basis where relevant. You will be accountable for the performance of selected accounts on a local and national basis and may be some opportunities outbound. You will create and communicate the account strategies to drive increased market share. You will be responsible for the implementation and execution of various projects that will drive market share as well as demonstrate value to both internal and external customers.

More specifically, you will:

  • Implement plans to ensure overall strategic direction of the account base and supports the company’s revenue strategies.
  • Develop account plans that specify objectives and sales activities to support the defined account strategy and ensure maximum opportunity for account penetration.
  • Establish and develop long term effective working relationships with key customers to drive business.
  • Execute strategic account development plans and supports communications of key messages internally and externally. Update sales systems accordingly and ensue system accuracy.
  • Monitor and review the impact of marketing initiatives on the account strategy.
  • Collaborate with HWS Specialists and other valuable partners to provide total client solutions.
  • Strengthen relationships with key hotels and aligning strategies where relevant.
  • Be accountable for communicating the strategy and activities on a regular basis, along with relevant issues, opportunities and successes.
  • Manage cross-functional links to other teams, departments and functions.
  • Organise regular meetings to take place throughout the sales territory.
  • Other activities related to planning, organizing, directing and controlling to drive share.
  • Close sales by building a rapport, explaining product and service capabilities, as well as overcoming objections and/or offering alternative solutions.
  • Demonstrate the value of multiple brands to the client.
  • Understand how to effectively address client objections and effectively employ negotiation techniques that facilitate positive outcomes while cultivating trust.
  • Drive positive results through customized solutions.
  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of industry trends and upcoming trends competitors are implementing.
  • Ensure revenue targets are achieved and effectively ask prospective clients for the sale, using Hilton sales techniques.

To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Two (2) years of professional experience
  • Two (2) years of Business Development experience
  • Two (2) years' experience in Hospitality sales and/or the Group Travel Industry
  • One (1) year experience in B2B sales
  • One (1) year of experience in meeting sales targets
  • Intermediate experience in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Up to 10% of travel

It would be helpful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • BA/BS Bachelor’s Degree
  • In depth knowledge and use of Delphi or similar property sales management system
  • Experience in Salesforce
