Coordinate and control the daily operations of maritime, air, land and intermodal exports of the Central American region, through the monitoring and development of carriers and logistics operators as well as the application of knowledge in international trade that lead us to have efficient processes in time and cost.

What you will do

  • Ensure compliance with service standards agreed with logistics providers for export operations of raw material and finished product.

  • Generate and coordinate the initiatives of Reimagine / continuous improvement (Lead Time, Use of transportation) and FTG (saving projects) for Central America. (shared services between suppliers for dispatches, storage, distribution network optimization).

  • Control the logistics cost (Freight Replenishment) as well as maintain the standard cost ensuring that they are in accordance with the budget in the system (purchasing / selling conditions).

  • Ensure that the export processes comply with the provisions of the sales agreements (conditions of sale / Incoterms / tariff items / descriptions (given by regulator)) and under the agreed times.

  • Comply with the billing process for freight and additional export transportation expenses, according to the requirements established on a weekly basis.

  • Ensure compliance with the agreements established for exports with transport providers and freight forwarders in the countries of the region to ensure compliance with the service required in the performance indicators.

  • Guarantee compliance with transit times, anticipating potential delays, ensuring daily visibility to internal customers of shipments of finished products and materials in transit (according to incoterm) to the entire region, keeping updated visibility reports made by the Control Tower.

  • Adjust transport operating procedures (SOPs) for exports according to variations in logistics processes, defining the roles and responsibilities of the parties when required.

  • Develop and implement contingency plans during force majeure events or situations that prevent or put at risk the regular circulation of transport in coordination with Security.

  • Responsible for the management and internal coordination of the processes that entail a claim with the insurer.

  • Ensure the effective implementation of export transport companies according to the processes established in the bidding standards in the Central American region in coordination with purchases.

  • Provide information on carriers, freight forwarders to ensure compliance with the necessary tax requirements for the improvement of exports in the government system (Guatemala SAT).

  • Propose and support the implementation of digitalization projects, optimization of export transport processes applying the behaviors of FEED principles (Focused, Empowered, Experimental, Digital).

  • Ensure with transportation providers compliance with the financial, legal and Code of Conduct policies established by the Company. (Contracts, Due Diligence, Anti-Bribery Policy).

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Business Administration, Engineering or International Trade

  • At least 2 years in logistics related to international transport

  • 90% of English language

  • Knowledge of process automation

  • Knowledge of air, sea, land and intermodal logistics

  • E2E processes, manufacturing & purchasing knowledge, SNP

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge, ability and use of SAP and G-suite Tools (sheets, slides, docs), SEADEX/FYDUCA management
