JOB SUMMARY:

The main responsibility is handling Domestic FCL shipments and daily shipping troubleshooting, the whole process is from shipment booking, exception approval, space allocation, containers pick up, on board and to the vessel departure. In the process, coordinate, and work with internal and external entities to achieve on-time bookings, expedite the approval of exception, on time shipping and on time documents submission for custom.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Review Open PO report to discuss with supply chain and suppliers confirm consolidation plan.

  • Review DHL weekly booking summary report and monitor vendor on time FCL bookings to our booking agency and verify booking details if necessary. Report to supply chain if have Qty difference or over S/W or light load…

  • Review vessel schedule that assigned by booking agency.

  • Verify exception with vendors and booking agency / approve exception in INX, be clear the difference between what exception would be approved by Planner vs. Logistics.

  • Space allocation follow up and space report fill out, communicate with Freight forwarder, corporate logistics team, suppliers, supply chain and planner to confirm space, or resolve container space and equipment shortage issues.

  • Check daily/weekly reports with PO priorities and ensure vessel schedules align with required ETAs.Follow with corporate logistics team, DHL, supply chain, planners, and suppliers to work on better options as needed.

  • Control container plan to achieve reasonable container utilization and save ocean cost.

  • Confirm shipping Plan and work on special vessel schedule with freight forwarder and planner if needed.

  • Coordinate and work with suppliers on the shipments if/when any ship date change or orders pull in or push out.

  • Monitor all shipments to make sure on-time delivery and Assist suppliers to resolve all shipping issues during loading period.

  • Verify with supplier’s invoices and packing list when/if any discrepancy.

  • Check doc and send it to payment team / broker / warehouse team.

  • Track each shipment till cargo on board / shipment received by warehouse.

  • Support destination team to work with supplier to solve receipt issue, such as shortage / overage /wrong delivery/improper packing and HU# label…

  • Monitor shipment ASN trigger and check ASN if correct, work with DHL to resend ASN if fails or incorrect.

  • Notify planners and Supply chain/Merchandising team updated if/when container is over S/W, delayed or rolled over.

  • Collect/Calculate container forecast and send it to corporate logistics team biweekly.

  • Work with corporate logistics team on carriers and lanes set-up

  • On board training for new suppliers such as support suppliers onboarded in INX.

  • Calculate dead freight and team trucker fee, and charge back from supplier if needs.

  • Data entry and Filing tasks.

  • Review on supplier’s logistics performance / Attend supplier KPI meeting for each quarter

  • Update LDN (Late Delivery Notification) Report to US team

  • Monitor booking agency performance & drive for improvement.

  • Attend weekly meetings with planners for daily space status.

  • Support other region shipments.

  • As a team members back-up, follow-up shipments when colleague is absent.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • College degree or above

  • Good reading, oral and written in English

  • 5+ years of Logistics experience
