Job Title: Welder

Job Description

As a Welder, you will be responsible for placing piece parts on assemblies in fixtures, tables, or devices to perform welding processes. You will primarily utilize MIG welding techniques, and may also use TIG or stick welding for steel assemblies. Additionally, you will operate cutting torches as required. A key aspect of your role will be maintaining the quality of job functions, including staying alert for any unsatisfactory quality of equipment parts in your assigned work area. You will be required to discontinue the work process and immediately notify supervision of all defects in quality. Additionally, you are expected to record and report work order information and production times, and keep your working area clean and orderly at all times.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in GRIMES, Iowa.

Work Environment

This position is part of a welding and fabrication team in a clean and organized environment. Shifts are Monday through Friday, with the first shift running from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (starting at 5:00 AM for early starters). Dress code requires wearing pants and steel-toed shoes throughout the shift. Personal protective equipment includes a weld mask (typically provided by the individual), and safety glasses when not in a weld hood.
