Join Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Greenville, SC, as an F-16 Operations Engineer Staff and drive continuous improvements in the production line of the renowned F-16 fighter jet. You will utilize lean methodologies to optimize manufacturing efficiency and collaborate closely with leadership and support teams to ensure seamless production operations. This position is in Greenville, SC Discover Greenville.

Basic Qualifications:

•Bachelor’s degree with related experience or 10 years experience in absence of a Bachelors Degree

•10+ years experience as a frontline leader in a Manufacturing Engineering or Operations Engineering capacity.

•Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives and full understanding of lean principles

•Experience leading cross-functional collaborative efforts in a fast paced production environment.

Desired Skills:

- Experience with standing up new production lines in the Military or Commercial Aviation industry. With emphasis on producibility ramp rates.

- Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization, from the shop floor all the way through director levels to include technical savvy employees.

- Familiarity with Lockheed Martin production systems. ECM, SAP, SFM, QADS, APRISO, PMATS, MINITAB, JMP.

- Excellent interpersonal skills and great at team building

- Demonstrated ability to analyze, identify and resolve Process Variation in a fast paced manufacturing environment. Document effectively and present findings at various leadership levels

- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles, root cause analysis, corrective action (RCCA) and Cause Mapping.

- Knowledge and experience in Six Sigma industry standard practices which may include: DMAIC, Process Mapping, Process Observation, SIPOC, Value Added Analysis, Data Collections Methods, Gage R&R, Descriptive Statistics and Data Display, Identifying and Verifying Causes using Pareto, Cause and Effect Diagrams, Methods for Confirming Causal Effects to include Scatter Plots.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
