Job Description Summary
The Robotics Programming Engineer will be part of AMRT Robotics Team responsible for the development of programming for coatings and support of program improvement for the GE Vernova Gas Power business globally. She/he will develop industrial robotic programs enabling the execution of thermal spray development and execution, implement them in GE facilities, and provide on-going technical support.

Roles and Responsibilities
Work alongside the AMRT Coatings team to develop new and modify existing robotic programs supporting thermal spray
Develop industrial robot applications
Develop robot simulation models and off-line programs for coatings
Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the robots and associated process equipment
Provide technical support to robot operators, engineers, and technical workers through system troubleshooting and diagnostics supporting thermal spray
Train operators and engineers in robot programming, maintenance, and process applications
Implement lean methodologies and tools in the identification, development, and industrialization of robotics processes for the global network.
Be responsible for maintaining and updating Robotics Database and Robot Management System for coatings programs
Maintain schedules for project deliverables
Communicate progress to all levels of the organization
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics
Knowledge of Fanuc robotic programming
At least 5 additional years of experience in an engineering position.
Desired Characteristics
Hands on experience in robot operations, sensors, servo systems and motion control systems
Programming experience supporting thermal spray application
Experience in off-line robot programming and simulation packages- RobCad, RoboGuide, RobotStudio, I- Grip.
Process knowledge in one or more disciplines – Thermal spray coating, surface finishing, robotics, etc.
CAD knowledge- UG is preferred
Working knowledge of I/O, PLC and bus communication
Ability to read mechanical/electrical drawings
Advance English language skills
Able and willing to travel up to 15% globally
Good project management skills.
Ability to work on multiple projects/tasks simultaneously
Ability to train and share knowledge with others
Demonstrated problem solving skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Familiarity with shop operations and quality systems
Product knowledge of gas turbines / turbo machinery is a plus
MSc in a related engineering field

For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay range for this position is: 85,600.00 - 142,600.00 USD Annual.
The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This Lead Professional Band position is also eligible for a 10% performance bonus.
The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. This position will stay open on the career website until at least September 28th, 2024.
