We are seeking an AP/AR Specialist for a contract position with a client in the upstate area!

As an Accounting Assistant, you will support our accounting department mainly focusing on tasks related to Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.

Responsibilities:

• Process customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency

• Maintain accurate customer credit records

• Resolve customer credit inquiries in a timely manner

• Monitor customer credit accounts for any discrepancies

• Take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments

• Perform data entry tasks to maintain and update accounting records

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for creating and updating financial reports

• Manage vendor relationships and handle purchase orders

• Oversee B2B collections and ensure timely collection of payments

• Prepare and process check runs on a regular basis

This role requires a blend of technical and interpersonal skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Aging Reports, Vendor Management, Purchase Orders, B2B collections, Check Runs, and Data Entry.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

• 4-5 month contract

• 3-4 days remote - other day in office

• Pay: DOE

  Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting assistant role or similar

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Ability to compile and maintain aging reports

• Experience in vendor management

• Familiarity with processing purchase orders

• Experience in B2B collections

• Ability to conduct check runs

• Demonstrated proficiency in data entry
