Aston Carter Regional Supply Chain Manager in Greensboro, North Carolina

Description:

Will liaison with Group Procurement and Group S&OP to understand and apply where required Group supply chain processes; and with North Americas Procurement and S&OP to set site supply chain strategy and plan for capacity needs. Identify improvement areas and integration of business system processes with the group ERP systems. Establish inventory management/replenishment strategies to drive improved customer service levels while minimizing inventory investment.

Work closely with Group Purchasing to align site purchasing strategy for common materials where required. Support in negotiations of site-specific RM and indirect contracts. Ensure site scheduling meets utilizes the plant assets effectively and ensures customer supply in conjunction with S&OP demand planner. Manage logistics partners, domestic and export shipments to customers and sister-sites.

Accountable for all site supply chain KPIs and setting out and driving improvement plans as required. Control site COMAH inventory levels. Drive continuous improvement across supply chain, procurement, planning and logistics related activities. Managing and coordinating the supply of adhesives from Americas into the APAC region. Coordination of weekly ‘order book’ management/meetings to line up the production schedule with open orders and facilitating short term fulfilment.

Communicate progress across various levels of the organization. Manage and report on inventory, Slobs, finish goods, set targets and utilize the full network to fulfil customers’ needs and right set the inventory to a cost effective and reliable level.

Provide leadership to departments under control and manage, coach and develop direct reports and manage high performing teams that deliver continuous improvement, added value and cost reductions. Set department objectives and monitor ongoing progress and performance. Ensure strong communication between teams under leadership to facilitate exchange of information and to implement change and improvements. Ensure that all functions under supervision operate in accordance with health, safety and environmental, Ethical (ABC), Sustainable and QA policies and that procedures are implemented and adhered to.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have degree in Supply Chain or equivalent with effective interpersonal, teambuilding, communication, negotiation, organization, planning, analytical, judgement and decision-making abilities. Will have a continuous improvement mindset with a minimum of five years advanced experience in Supply Chain Management and demonstrable experience working within best practice and implementation.

Will be quality and safety conscious, with excellent attention to detail and effective and professional communication skills, strong integrity and personal ethics aligned to our client's principles.

Knowledge of logistics operations in APAC with hazardous chemicals. Previous experience of working with international, multiple site chemical processing plant would be a plus. Bilingual in English, French, Portuguese or Spanish is advantageous.
