Transport is at the core of modern society. Imagine using your expertise to shape sustainable transport solutions for the future? If you seek to make a difference on a global scale, working with next-gen technologies and the sharpest collaborative teams, then we could be a perfect match.

What you will do

Vehicle uptime is increasingly critical in the trucking industry, making it an essential metric. Vehicle diagnostics and fault monitoring are crucial for minimizing downtime, enabling quick repairs to get trucks back on the road efficiently. A comprehensive diagnostics approach that leverages fault codes helps identify issues accurately, streamlining the repair process. This method facilitates cost-effective repairs and positively influences fleet operational costs. A proactive diagnostics approach can detect minor problems early, allowing for timely fixes before they escalate into significant breakdowns. Diagnostics and fault monitoring are integral to the core services and solutions offered by Volvo and Mack Trucks.

This position is responsible for defining the roadmap, commercializing, and supporting external customer offerings related to vehicle diagnostics and fault monitoring. This includes leveraging telematics, diagnostics, and over-the-air/remote programming technologies. The role involves collaboration with Mack Trucks and Volvo Truck NA’s commercial truck sales organizations, services and solutions, aftermarket technology teams, and internal product and project management teams.

Core Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the telematics-based connected vehicle diagnostics and fault monitoring services strategy, aligning with the product roadmaps for connected vehicles, customer support, and service contracts.

• Serve as the product owner for Mack and Volvo Trucks' proprietary diagnostic solutions, fostering an environment that promotes fault data analytics and drives continuous innovation in diagnostic services.

• Oversee the development of new and existing product features by collaborating with engineering, technology, and purchasing teams. Act as a liaison between various technical organizations, such as powertrain, advanced engineering, and aftermarket technology, to build a collaborative approach that translates market needs into proactive product enhancements.

• Enhance the existing advanced analytics platform to continuously evolve new fault monitoring rules, business process automation, and service improvements.

• Employ agile development and deployment methodologies to support the continuous release of new features. Manage product requirements, launch planning, marketing strategies, and resource coordination to contribute to the product development roadmap.

• Lead project activities related to feature development and support for connected vehicle services, including managed contract maintenance, driver performance optimization, vehicle efficiency, and general truck maintenance solutions. Ensure a clear product vision and a consistent voice of the customer across the organization.

• Maintain up-to-date competitive intelligence and integrate it to secure a competitive advantage for Volvo Group North America.
