Blue Rose Consulting Group, Inc. Behavioral Health Clinician in Greensboro, North Carolina

Blue Rose Consulting Group is seeking compassionate and experienced Behavioral Health Clinicians to join our team in support of our work with a federal client in Greensboro, NC. This role is open to US Citizens ONLY.     

In this role, you will be responsible for conducting mental health evaluations, developing treatment plans, and facilitating individual, group, and family sessions.    

This is a Behavioral Health Clinician position supporting unaccompanied minors, which means that you may spend time working with several diverse types of clients. In this role, you will help minor children work through the problems they have faced. You will also work with them to identify opportunities for progress, help them build healthier coping mechanisms, and develop strategies that they can use to improve their lives.    

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication skills. Additionally, you will need to have a strong understanding of the distinct types of issues that these minors may be facing, their causes and how they can best be resolved. RESPONSIBILITIES    

  • Assist individual minors and groups in defining the problems that they are facing    

  • Conduct focused assessments for individuals to screen for symptoms, to conduct a formal behavioral status exam to determine the need for crisis intervention related to human trafficking and similar trauma issues    

  • Apply knowledge of the best practices for treating a variety of problems that clients may be experiencing    

  • Crisis counseling as needed    

  • Use information gained from assessments and counseling sessions to diagnose clients to develop individualized care plans/treatment plans for each minor    

  • Conduct psychoeducation and skill building sessions for all children    

  • Create treatment plans that will help the patient move past their problems and towards their goals    

  • Provide focused intervention for identified higher risk minors    

  • Educate clients on the problems they are facing and help them to develop healthier coping methods for dealing with them    

  • Maintain detailed notes to track the progress of patients    

  • Other duties as assigned in support of the program         

REQUIREMENTS    

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen     

  • Master’s degree or higher in the Behavioral Health Professions (MS/MSW/MA)    

  • Candidates with an associate level counseling license in North Carolina are encouraged to apply.    

  • Typical licenses include LCSW-A, LMFT-A, LMHC-A.    

  • Must successfully pass all pertinent and required background checks, drug screens, and child abuse and neglect checks    

  • Bilingual highly preferred – primarily Spanish    

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and high standards of professionalism and confidentiality    

  • Working knowledge of military, state, federal, and local laws, and resources    

  • Ability to understand, apply and maintain professional standards    

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software applications including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook    

  • Highly developed written, oral and presentation communication skills
