Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to ensure daily work schedules are adhered to, identify bottlenecks, and make recommendations for improvement. The ideal candidate will provide feedback on workload levels and ensure all work is performed safely while driving accountability and talent planning across the manufacturing organization.
Responsibilities
Ensure daily work schedules are adhered to and manage exceptions.
Identify bottlenecks and recommend opportunities for improvement.
Provide feedback to the master scheduler on workload levels, types, and available capacity.
Ensure daily work is performed safely and all employees adhere to the safety policy.
Drive accountability in all facets of operations.
Drive talent planning and 1:1 development with direct reports across the manufacturing organization.
Ensure on-time delivery, provide job status updates, and estimate completion dates.
Provide verbal reminders to employees about work policies, start times, safety, work behavior, and values.
Recognize and reward employees for outstanding performance or ideas.
Identify training gaps and recommend development training for shop employees.
Manage daily manufacturing operations and identify resources needed for successful fabrication.
Manage daily equipment and machinery needs, including new, replacement, maintenance, repairs, and supplies.
Lead and guide the supervisory leadership team.
Prepare, analyze, and issue production and performance reports.
Control costs to achieve company budget goals.
Manage, lead, and guide safety policies and the safety committee.
Skills and Qualifications Required
5+ years of experience in managing production operations with knowledge of manufacturing and employment regulations, policies, practices, and procedures.
3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting.
1+ years of experience working on military projects is preferred.
Knowledge of metals and raw materials along with an understanding of production processes, quality control, and manufacturing costs.
Proven ability to unify multiple departments and personnel to achieve required goals and tasks.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements for operating plants.
Knowledge of industry principles such as lean manufacturing and six sigma methodologies is preferred.
Work Environment
The work environment is a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing setting. You will work with various technologies and equipment, ensuring adherence to safety policies. The role may involve working in different shifts and managing a team of supervisors and shop employees. The dress code is typically casual but must adhere to safety guidelines.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
