Robert Half Corporate Tax Analyst in Grand Rapids Nt, Michigan

Description

We are seeking a Tax Analyst in the manufacturing industry, located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This role involves working within a team environment in their tax department and interacting with various members of other departments and locations.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of federal and state income tax returns.

• Creation of various tax accounting schedules and reconciliations to support the federal and state tax returns.

• Assistance in the preparation of quarterly federal and state income tax estimated payments.

• Contribution to the preparation of workpapers for the quarterly income tax provision.

• Collaboration with the Accounting Department and various plants and business units to ensure proper compliance with sales and use tax issues.

• Assistance in the preparation and review of property tax returns.

• Research on fundamental tax issues pertaining to property, sales & use, state and local income, and federal income tax.

• Participation in a tax team representing various entities in property, sales & use tax, and corporate income tax audits.

Requirements

• Possess at least 1-3 year of experience in a corporate tax within Public Accounting or Corporate

• Proficient in preparing corporate tax returns

• Demonstrated knowledge of corporate tax compliance regulations

• Able to handle income tax provision tasks

• Experience in managing sales tax related duties

• Familiar with multi-state tax returns

• Holds a degree in finance, accounting or related field

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Proficient in using tax software and other relevant computer applications

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
