Deaf INC. Finance4 and Operations Supervisor in Grand Rapids, Michigan

Job Summary:

To aid in furthering our mission at Deaf and hard of Hearing Services, we are seeking a Finance and Operations Supervisor to take ownership of the financial management and business functions of the organization. We desire a candidate who possesses an understanding of all aspects of accounting including proficiency of technology software and an aptitude for interpreting the financial statements.  This individual would be in charge of managing personnel and maintaining records of all activities through Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

As our Finance and Operations Supervisor you will:

  • Process deposits, bills and payments along with payroll and 1099's
  • Maintain Quickbooks Online software and all insurance policies.
  • Supervise all contracts and bids for accounts receivable and accounts payable.
  • Assist with external annual review and report findings to the Board of Directors.
  • Oversee other audits such as workers compensation, grants or program and generate schedules and reports as needed.
  • Provide ASL interpreter auditing including credentialing, licensing, insurance, drug testing etc.
  • Coordinate with program and event coordinators to set up and maintain program budgets.
  • Organize registrations and transactions related to ASL workshops and events year round.
  • Uphold the human resource and employee life cycle including development of team members and annual performance reviews.
  • Ensure confidentiality of information and become HIPPA certified.

Qualifications & Skills:

The person filling this position will be instrumental in elevating the organization for successful growth.  This is a vital role that requires excellent analytical skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively with flexibility and initiative.  Having familiarity with accounting and human resource relations governing non-profit organizations, employees and independent contractors is key.
