ASM Global Custodian in Grand Rapids, Michigan
POSITION SUMMARY:
General cleaning and upkeep of common spaces, restrooms, service support areas, offices, parking garage, exterior, exhibit halls, meeting rooms, and other areas within the facility.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Cleaning public areas including restrooms, elevators, escalators, glass railings and other general cleaning tasks as needed
General cleaning of employee areas and service support areas
Vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal in office areas
Parking garage maintenance, including trash removal and cleaning of trash cans
Exterior property maintenance, including trash removal, sweeping, snow removal, power washing, and leaf blowing as needed
Floor maintenance including scrubbing, mopping, burnishing and other floor tasks as needed
Completing custodial checklists as necessary
Ensuring proper use and care of cleaning equipment and machines
Working with and directing work efforts of part time/temporary personnel
Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and REQUIREMENTS:
THIS POSITION REQUIRES WORKING WEEKEND DAYS AS SCHEDULED. Due to the varied nature of events, availability on weekends is required
Must be able to work independently as well as direct work efforts of others
Ability to read and follow directions is a must
Ability to bend, twist and lift 25 lbs regularly is required
Must be able to follow proper work procedures and safety requirements
Ability to troubleshoot equipment and perform simple repairs is helpful
