About Rehab and Nursing Center-Kentridge

We are located on a 10-acre campus. Our indoor and outdoor spaces are designed to provide opportunities for improving independence, strength, and confidence. Two main floor courtyards provide outdoor space for rest and renewal. Most patient rooms are private, and have an attached bathroom and shower, television with cable, phone, and a large window. Each unit has a large and accessible living and dining space, and a menu-based meal service is provided.

Scope of work

Under the direction of the Program Director, evaluates client's need for recreation therapy. Plans and executes treatment program in accordance with guidelines outlines by the NCTRC (National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification). Provide recreation therapy to enhance independence and community integration and teach leisure time activities in the home and the community. Provide education to enhance recreation skills and attitudes.

Qualifications

  • Required Bachelor's Degree Therapeutic Recreation

  • Preferred 3 years of relevant experience in long term care or rehabilitation

  • Preferred Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, Certified (CTRS) - NCTRC National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification

  • Required Drivers License in the State of Michigan

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association or ARC within 90 Days

  • Preferred Activity Director, Certified (ADC) - NCCAP National Certification Council for Activity Professionals
