Peckham Inc. - 3rd Shift - Custodial Services Technician- Grand Rapids (In-house)

Location: 3777 Sparks Dr SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546
Hours: 10:00pm-6:30am (M-F)
Wage: $16 per hour
SUMMARY
Duties include general cleaning of restrooms, public areas, classrooms, office and conference room set-ups. Onsite Training is required before being placed at a site. The ideal candidate will be?a?self-starter?able to use common sense in resolving issues that may arise at a moment's notice.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Stocking storage closets.
- Stocking a restroom cart.
- Routine cleaning of restrooms.
- Routine cleaning of occupied offices.
- Periodic cleaning of vents.
- Maintain grounds, including snow removal.
- Routine vacuuming of carpeting and matting.
- Routine dust and wet mopping of tile areas.
- Periodic dusting of all horizontal ledges.
- Assist in special periodic work projects as needed under supervision of a Periodic Team Member, Lead Worker or Environmental Services Supervisor.
- Arrange for maintenance of equipment.
- may have to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Produce quality work in an ever-changing environment.
- Practice security and safety at building sites.
- Utilize a teamwork approach for all projects.
- Promote Peckham's vision, values and services to all customers and stakeholders.
- Assist in maintaining organization wide quality standards.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Demonstrated problem solving skills.
Must pass and maintain background checks.
