Lockheed Martin Transportation Supervisor in Grand Prairie, Texas
Description: You will be the Transporation Supervisor for the Production, Planning and Controlling organization. Our team is responsible for coordinating the movement of materials throughout the facility and to local vendors, ensuring efficient production and supply chain management.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Transportation Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading the Transportation team and managing the flow of materials, personnel, and resources to meet production demands. You will oversee a team of 5+ direct reports, providing guidance, training, and performance management to ensure success.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Coordinating interdepartmental movement of materials and managing fleet maintenance
• Managing staffing, recruitment, selection, training, and performance assessment of direct reports
• Delegating assignments and working outside normal operating hours as needed
• Coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection, training, and disciplinary actions
• Managing budgets and demonstrating knowledge of industry-wide best practices

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree or equivalent combined education/experience
• Must have or be able to obtain a security clearance
• Demonstrated ability to work with multiple levels of management, industry peer, direct reports and internal and external customers
• Experience and understanding for DOT regulation for vehicles and drivers
• Demonstrated proficient knowledge of computer systems, databases, and programs
• Previous leadership experience
• Understand the management of budgets
Desired Skills:
• DOT HazMat certification
• Experience managing a represented workforce
• Experience supporting Material Management and accounting System (MMAS)
• APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) certification
• Knowledge of industry wide best practices and process for managing material flow throughout the entire production supply chain
• Excellent communication skills

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
