Position Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, 40 Hours/ Week

Summary of Duties: The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for manufacturing capability, continuity, and continuous improvement. This includes documentation and performance measurement of manufacturing processes, new product introduction, improvements to production lines, capital expenditures, cost savings measures, additive manufacturing, and fixture design. The Manufacturing Engineer also participates in the resolution of issues and improvements to production systems. Projects owned by this position will be key components in the realization of the factory vision. The main responsibilities include the following: design, troubleshoot, repair, and install manufacturing related equipment on the factory floor; maintain equipment including mechanical, computer, electrical, and pneumatic; contribute to plant success through continuous improvement projects; lead or Support Manufacturing and Product Engineering on key development projects. Knowledge of Siemens MCCB product portfolio & internal MES system will be critical due to the rapid growth strategy. Candidate must be ready to hit the ground running.

Qualifications: The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Controls & Automation, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline. The position requires 2 years in the same role or as an Automation Engineer or related role. The position also requires experience with the following: demonstrated technical proficiency with Solid Edge CAD software; familiar with Siemens Circuit breaker designs; experience with lean manufacturing; experience with design of manufacturing fixtures, equipment, and production infrastructure; well organized with the design process and high attention to detail when creating models, naming parts, tracking revisions, maintaining BOMs, and procuring materials; familiar with extruded aluminum construction material; 3VA Circuit breaker product knowledge; Expertise with laser marking technology; basic electronics troubleshooting; ability to troubleshoot computer hardware; strong aptitude with hand tools; and Microsoft Office – Excel and Access; proficiency in data collection and analysis.
