Housekeeping Aide - Environmental Services Technician
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Perform light and heavy cleaning duties and routine housekeeping duties. Maintain patient areas clean and safe by addressing spills quickly, discarding trash, installing light bulbs in halls and rooms, vacuuming and polishing floors. Cleaning hospital wards, patient rooms, storerooms, offices, corridors, restrooms, shower rooms, and other areas. Complete tasks and assignments with minimal supervision.
Requirements: United States Citizenship Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Federal Wage System Qualifications A specific length of training and experience is not required Position Highlights: Work Schedule: Several vacancies, full time and part-time schedules are available Onsite: Roles are in-person at the Grand Junction, Colorado VA Medical Center Paid Time Off: 37-50 days of annual paid time offer per year (13-26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year) Selected applicants may qualify for credit toward annual leave accrual, based on prior work experience or military service experience Excellent Federal Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, and more health benefits Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA Compensation: Competitive salary and regular salary increases, $17.70 - $20.65/hour
