System One Service Parts Associate - Level III in Grand Forks, North Dakota

Job Summary:

Assist Distribution Business customers, technicians, and parts personnel in securing needed parts and supplies with limited supervision.

### Key Responsibilities:

  • Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE):

    • Comply with HSE standards, policies, procedures, and regulations.

    • Use appropriate personal protective equipment.

  • Customer Service:

    • Perform customer parts counter duties, including receiving calls, greeting walk-in customers, completing paperwork, and handling transactions.

    • Maintain favorable relationships with internal and external customers by addressing their needs and issues promptly. Escalate issues to a supervisor when necessary.

    • Keep the customer parts area and parts warehouse neat and clean.

    • Lead or guide other parts personnel in sourcing complex parts requests or finding alternatives.

  • Parts Procurement:

    • Utilize various systems, catalogs, and resources to identify and procure parts cost- and time-efficiently.

    • Collaborate with technicians to locate necessary parts.

  • Mentorship and Team Participation:

    • Assist management in mentoring and developing less experienced parts personnel through knowledge transfer and on-the-job training.

    • Participate in parts department improvement assignments and projects; may lead small portions of improvement activities.

    • Identify and act on opportunities to upsell supporting products and services to customers.

  • Additional Duties:

    • Manage stock levels, shipping and receiving parts, warehouse activities, inventory management, core processing, and other parts-related duties as assigned by management.

    • Customer Support: Proactively support customers at each order life cycle phase to ensure satisfaction.

    • Interpersonal Savvy: Relate openly and comfortably with diverse groups.

  • Education, Licenses, Certifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft applications and advanced computer skills.

    • May require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

  • Experience:

    • Significant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.
    Additional Manager Notes:
  • Skills: General construction skills, mechanical aptitude, installing fiberglass insulation.

  • Tasks: Fiberglass insulation work, fall protection gear, working from heights, cutting and grinding, caulking and painting, basic construction skills, scissor/boom lift experience.

  • Requirements: Reliable transportation, quality-minded, teamwork, customer-driven, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, inventory management, material handling, computer literacy, attention to detail, following directions, flexibility, potential overtime, steel-toed shoes required, safety-minded.

  • Working Hours: Mon - Fri, 7am - 3:30pm, with potential overtime and 30-minute onsite interviews.

    Pay Rate: Up to $21/hr

    Shift: First shift, 7am - 3:30pm

    Interviews: 30-minute onsite interviews will be scheduled by the manager.
