Roles and Responsibilities:

The Aircraft Maintenance Team Lead is tasked with the development and enhancement of maintenance procedures in strict alignment with DCMA regulations and company policy. Responsibilities include:

  • Develop procedures to monitor and track maintenance milestones, ensuring steadfast adherence to scheduled maintenance activities.

  • Ensure the seamless alignment of maintenance team members with the established ground and flight procedures, training protocols, and evaluation standards.

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the aircraft maintenance team, ensuring on-time, safe, and efficient operations.

  • Lead various elements at the worksite, encompassing safety protocols, digital and paper logbooks, maintenance records, strategies for Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention, tool control methodologies, Technical Orders implementation, and part accounting practices, all designed to adhere to DCMA regulations and company policy.

  • Lead the creation of work calendars and orchestrate thorough internal audits, overseeing the implementation of procedures in line with regulations and policy performance benchmarks for crew members.

  • Prepare in-depth technical reports and briefings that provide insights to managers, ensuring they are well-informed about procedural developments while maintaining compliance with regulation and policy.

  • Up to 30% travel required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree + 10 years’ experience or 18 years of aircraft maintenance experience.

  • 5 years of leadership experience in Aircraft Maintenance

  • Knowledge and experience with Aircraft Technical Manuals (General Systems, Job Guides, Fault Isolation, etc.)

  • Understanding of all aspects of airframe, powerplant, electrical systems, mechanical systems, RF systems, troubleshooting, personnel leadership, and procedure development

  • Experience with FAA/DOD Flight and Maintenance standards, airworthiness, and safety

  • Must be eligible for secret security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years Flight Line or UAS flight operations experience

  • Knowledge and experience with Unmanned Aircraft Systems and subsystems in group 3-5 UAS

  • FOD control program management experience

  • Property control and GFE logistics experience

  • Eligible for top secret security clearance.
