Luminator Technology Group Software QA Engineer in Gothenburg, Sweden

We are seeking an experienced Software QA Engineer to join our Luminator Suite Platform QA team. The role involves ensuring the quality of our software suite for the passenger information system for public transport industry. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in embedded Linux platforms and proficiency in modern test automation frameworks and tools. Key skills include developing test plans, automated and manual testing, performance and security testing, scripting languages, regression testing, and user acceptance testing.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create and execute test plans and test cases based on requirements and specifications.

  • Conduct exploratory, developmental, and regression testing.

  • Document and report defects, providing detailed information for resolution.

  • Automate reoccurring test cases to improve testing efficiency using frameworks like Cypress and Robot Framework.

  • Prepare acceptance tests and validate milestone/features against build/version/revision numbers.

  • Maintain and update test plans and test suites in Azure DevOps.

    QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a QA Engineer/Test Engineer.

  • Strong knowledge of embedded Linux platforms.

  • Proficiency in test automation frameworks such as Cypress and Robot Framework or similar.

  • Experience with Python and Node-RED for creating and maintaining automated tests.

  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.

  • ISTQB certification (proficiency: foundations) is desirable.

  • Experience with industry standards like MQTT, ITxPT, VDV, and other protocols.

  • Strong debugging and logging skills.

  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

  • Strong analytical and communication skills.

  • Knowledge of performance testing

  • Understanding of security testing principles.

  • Proficiency in developing test plans.

  • Proficiency in manual testing techniques.

  • Performance testing experience.

  • Security testing skills.

  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python).

  • Experience with regression testing.

  • Familiarity with user acceptance testing (UAT).

  • Fluency in English.

  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
