Anticipated period of employment: 03/03/2025 to 12/31/2025
Workers referred as a result of this order must have a minimum of three months of verifiable experience in performing the tasks described in this order.
Manually plant, transplant, cultivate, & harvest herbs &vegetables such as but not limited to: corn greens, lettuce, kohlrabi, callaloo, onions, potatoes, carrots, cucumbers, squash, cabbage, peppers, tomatoes, pumpkins & cauliflower. Use hand tools such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, & knives. Duties include field preparations by, weeding, thinning and/or pruning crops. Participate in irrigation activities. Harvesting, cleaning, grading and packing the vegetables by hand. Packing, loading, and delivering to the farm markets. Unload returning trucks and dispose of spoiled produce. All produce packaged and delivered to farm markets is produce grown and produced by R & G Produce. Work requires standing, sitting, kneeling and lifting up to 75 lbs. on a consistent basis throughout the day. After 4 days of training employer will expect workers to pick a minimum of 8 boxes per hour of scallions, radishes, cilantro, parsley, beets, kale, cabbage, carrots, dill and collard greens. During working hours, cell phone use is limited to emergency situations or for field documentation only. Any worker who drives a company vehicle at any time must have a valid drivers license and must notify Employer of the vehicle they are using.
