Siemens Mobility is now looking Materials Control Manager to join our diverse team in Goole. In this office based role, you’ll prioritize and schedule customer orders or requisitions. Working closely with the Procurement Manager, you will play a crucial role in planning, scheduling, and monitoring the procurement cycle to ensure seamless production operations.

You’ll make an impact by

  • Providing complex clerical support for purchasing and materials management, managing data entry, filing, and coordinating paper flow.

  • Communicate shipping requirements, respond to packing list inquiries, and maintain detailed records of materials received or shipped.

  • Being responsible for inventory control and order book management for our Rail Systems service business, ensuring materials availability for various projects and fleets.

  • Managing the repairable and warranty returns administration process to ensure the timely return of failed products, including the coordination with the respective fleets for ongoing claim management and resolution.

  • Managing operational process in relation to key supply chain activity and flow of materials.

  • Continuous development of cross functional and departmental processes in relation to responsible activity.

  • Manage the order book and prioritization for replenishment and repairable parts to ensure delivery is in compliance with planning and optimized inventory levels, including the supply of parts for un-scheduled (UVS) requirements.

Your success will be grounded by

  • A sound knowledge of best practice, supply chain and procurement processes

  • Experienced in stock control and inventory management

  • Detailed knowledge of materials, stores management procedures and warranty processes.

  • Good knowledge of IT systems / software.

  • Good interpersonal skills.

  • People management skills.

  • CIPS Professional diploma in Procurement and Supply (preferred).
