Responsibilities

  • Contribute in the development of SCM governance documentation which includes SCM policy, procedure, work instructions, knowledge and training documents for internal use by implementers of the process and for external use by customers of the process

  • Manage CMDB Health activities related to Completeness, Compliance and Correctness of CIs in the CMDB, to include configuration of the CMDB Health functions within the ITSM Tool

  • Support appropriate Governance and Advisory Boards (CABs) related to Service Configuration Management

  • Develop, Lead, or Support CMDB Configuration Audits, which include development of automated Audits, leveraging the ITSM Tool's Audit functions as well as additional Auditing tools or specialized scripting which enable and optimize current or ITSM tool audit functions

  • Participate in SCM IT Service Management Tool functionality User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities as required

  • Evaluate SCM process activities and provide recommendations for continuous improvement opportunities, to include automated solutions and configuration of the ITSM tool for improvement of automated workflows and CMDB Automated ingestion of CI data

  • Perform continuous Analysis of CI data, to support SCM process improvement activities based on analysis results

  • Provide timely and accurate status reporting to program management and project teams related to SCM Sustainment activities - Daily taskings and processes

  • Support SCM Process Owner with Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge to support SCM overall SCM Program maturity activities, to include development of reports and dashboards utilizing the ITSM Tool functionality, or additional reporting tools

  • Assist with ensuring Day-to-Day activities of the SCM process are conducted which includes completing Service Requests, Change Requests and customers contacting the SCM Program requesting process and CMDB CI input and update assistance

  • Serve as a liaison between process and technical teams supporting SCM process automation such as Discovery and Service Mapping which support CMDB CI ingestion

  • Work with team on creation and implementation of reports, using ITSM Tool functionality or additional reporting tools, which analyzes and compares CMDB CI Data in many different ways and for different ITSM Use Cases

  • Analyze CI Data ingested to ensure alignment with Common Service Data Model (CSDM) alignment, as well as Technology Business Management (TBM) Services Model where appropriate

  • Create and maintain Services Data in the CMDB, to include Business Services, Mapped Application Services, Dynamic CI Groups and Technical Services

Qualifications

  • Involved in performing tasks related to ITSM-CMDB Process implementation supporting Enterprise CMDB Operationalization

  • Experience as lead in the implementation of process activities related to Service Configuration Management, Configuration Management Database (CMDB) process functions

  • Ability to Lead technicians in CMDB Health Auditing, Common Service Data Model process alignment, and CMDB Data Output processes supporting customers and various IT Service Management areas and functions, to include close alignment with IT Operations Management process functions which affect CMDB CI availability and accuracy

  • Experience in using IT Service Management Tools – e.g., ServiceNow Products - IT Operations Management Suite of Products - Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, Incident, Change, problem, and the CMDB; Strategic Portfolio Management Suite of Products - Application Portfolio Management, Technology Portfolio Management; some scripting experience desired to support CMDB Audits and reporting needs

  • Preferred: ITIL Foundations certified

  • Preferred: Experience with ITSM processes of Change, Release, and Service Configuration Management aligned with Government requirements

    Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Engineering Management, Math, or equivalentPLUS 10 Years of experience

  • Eight (8) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education

    Clearance:

  • The ability to pass a Tier 2/Modest Background Investigation

  • Remote, USA

  • Monday - Friday (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM EST)

    Pay Range:

  • The pay for this position ranges from $52,730 to $72,500

  • The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location
