Senior Manager, Data Product Management

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Manager, Data Product Management, with a strong background in data, analytics, Machine Learning (ML), and Artificial Intelligence (AI). This product-focused role will lead the strategy, development, and delivery of data-driven products that leverage AI and ML to meet business needs. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing data product lifecycles, defining product vision, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving the adoption of innovative solutions that enhance data utilization and business outcomes.
Responsibilities :
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Data Product Managers, providing guidance on best practices in product management, AI/ML product development, and cross-functional collaboration. Foster a collaborative and innovative environment that encourages professional growth and high team performance.
Drive the execution and roadmap for data products leveraging AI, ML, and analytics to drive business outcomes. Work closely with leadership to align product strategy with organizational goals and objectives.
Work closely with engineering, data science, analytics, and business teams to translate product requirements into actionable plans. Ensure that the team delivers on the product roadmap, managing expectations and maintaining alignment with stakeholders across the organization.
Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle, including product ideation, development, launch, and iteration. Ensure that products are delivered on time, meet quality standards, and solve key business challenges.
Utilize analytics and performance metrics to inform product decisions, optimize product offerings, and drive continuous improvement. Monitor product success, gather feedback from customers, and adjust strategies accordingly to ensure long-term success.
Conduct market research, gather customer feedback, and stay informed on industry trends to identify opportunities for product innovation. Use insights to refine and adapt product offerings that provide value to both internal and external stakeholders.
Communicate product goals, roadmaps, status updates, and strategic priorities to senior leadership and key stakeholders. Build strong relationships with executives and ensure alignment on the product strategy and roadmap.
Stay current with advancements in AI, ML, and data analytics, and incorporate new technologies into product strategies. Act as an advocate for emerging trends and technologies that can elevate the organization’s product offerings.
Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in data product management, with a strong background in data, analytics, Machine Learning (ML), and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Experience working with cross-functional teams, managing complex data-driven projects, and delivering AI/ML products that align with business goals.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
Strong understanding of AI/ML technologies, data analytics, and data engineering processes. Familiarity with data architecture, data platforms, AI/ML frameworks, and related technologies is highly preferred.
Demonstrated expertise in managing the full product lifecycle, from ideation through development and delivery. Proven ability to set product vision, prioritize features, and manage product backlogs in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Strong leadership communication, and interpersonal skills, with experience guiding teams of product managers. Ability to build and sustain a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative culture and driving results.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and make data-driven decisions. Comfortable working with product analytics tools to monitor product performance and improve user experience.
Experience working in Agile environments with knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, or other project management methodologies. Ability to manage multiple complex projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior leadership, technical teams, and business partners. Experience in presenting to and engaging with executives.
Ability to identify challenges, propose solutions, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated success in solving complex problems with creative, user-centered solutions.
A passion for leveraging AI, ML, and data to drive business transformation. Eagerness to stay at the forefront of emerging technologies and market trends to ensure that products remain competitive and innovative.
The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $184,300.00-$247,100.00. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
