Pay Rate :

$107,400 – 143,200

Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range.

The Job You Will Perform:

  • Performs at the regional level supporting plants and customers for the West Coast Ag Region (Gilroy, Salinas, Sanger, Camarillo, Compton, Yuma, CA Sheds, and MPS). The job will require travel of approximately 10 days per month.

  • Interacts with the commercial team and their customers to determine packaging and design solutions. Provides leadership and coordination on high level customer and plant design projects.

  • Responsible for leading Customer Value Analysis projects with the commercial team and their customers.

  • Supports region design efforts through sample making, design document organization, MPS coordination, computer system maintenance and regulatory requirement knowledge and organization.

  • Provides guidance and leadership to West Coast Ag Region design team. Supervisory responsibility potential.

  • Creates dynamic, structurally sound designs and understands how to create thought-out, innovative solutions that can be produced within our manufacturing operations and meet the distribution rigors of the product being packed.

The Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge You Will Bring:

  • BS or BA in related field or equivalent experience required.

  • A minimum of eight years of experience in design or a packaging related industry preferred.

  • Advanced knowledge of design, corrugated and retail channel guidelines.

  • Advanced knowledge of CAD engineering software and hardware.

  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a larger design team.

  • Ability to conduct structural performance calculations and offer recommendations.

  • Comfortable working on multiple projects under tight time constraints.

  • Action oriented and focused on customer satisfaction.

  • Interpersonal skills.

  • Creativity and innovation.

  • Able to work evenings or weekends, as needed, to meet department needs.

  • Working understanding of Produce MPS design styles.

  • Strong time management, organizational skills, and oral and written communication skills.

  • Independent thinking and action.

  • Ability to lead others and drive change.
