Responsibilities

Franciscan Digestive Care Associates, part of The Center for Digestive Health at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, is recruiting a BC/BE general gastroenterologist to practice in the Tacoma Metro Area and affiliated regional hospitals. This is an excellent opportunity to practice in a collegial, multidisciplinary care environment with superb support staff. We pride ourselves in practicing high quality, evidence based, and patient centered medicine. Our ideal candidate will be an exceptional clinician with excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to patient-centered care and teamwork. Work includes a mix of outpatient and inpatient with shared call responsibilities.

The Center for Digestive Health in the great Puget Sound region is a destination program for the care of patients with digestive health concerns. Over 80 clinicians in gastroenterology and gastrointestinal surgery provide over 76,000 clinic visits, 55,000 endoscopic procedures and 9,000 surgeries annually across Virginia Mason Franciscan Health locations. The center is founded on providing the best possible clinical outcomes to the patients it serves with additional focus on innovation through research as well as training the next generation of experts and leaders in the field. Infrastructure includes a clinical research and analytics team, in addition to academic support. Several clinical and research fellowships are housed within the center and clinicians are engaged as faculty in training medical and surgical residents.

Qualifications

Candidate Qualifications:

  • BC/BE in gastroenterology

  • Ability to obtain a medical professional license in the State of WA.

  • Ability to obtain a DEA with full prescriptive authority needed for specific practice

Pay Range

$195.02 - $312.08 /hour
