Description We are in search of a Controller to join our team in the Specialty Construction industry based in Gardena, California. The Controller will be responsible for solving business needs, identifying new opportunities, and organizing the back office. This role involves working with various software systems and handling tasks such as job costing, revenue reporting, financial statements, audit, budgeting, forecasting, month-end close, reconciliations, tax returns, and maintaining GAAP, insurance, and bank relationships.

Responsibilities:

• Handle accounting functions and utilize Accounting Software Systems and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Solutions effectively

• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) and ensure they are processed efficiently

• Conduct auditing and budget processes adhering to the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) regulations

• Oversee job costing and construction accounting, ensuring accuracy and compliance

• Manage financial statements, audit, budgeting, and forecasting tasks

• Perform month-end close procedures and reconciliations promptly and accurately

• Prepare and submit tax returns in accordance with relevant laws and regulations

• Uphold GAAP standards in all accounting procedures

• Oversee insurance matters and maintain healthy bank relationships

• Utilize Viewpoint Vista for construction cost management and other relevant tasks. Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential.

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services will be beneficial.

• Familiarity with DCAA regulations and procedures.

• Knowledge and experience in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning.

• Ability to implement and manage ERP Solutions.

• Strong understanding of Accounting Functions.

• Practical experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Solid background in Auditing.

• Ability to handle Budget Processes efficiently.

• Familiarity with Job Cost management.

• Experience in a Construction environment.

• Proficiency in Construction Accounting is required.

• Understanding of Construction Cost management.

• Experience with Viewpoint Vista software is a plus.
