Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree in related field, Certification or eligible for Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association, and Licensure or eligible for Speech Pathology License from the Texas State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in acute care and medically related clinic.

  • Pediatric experience.

Job Summary:

To provide professional skills in the comprehensive evaluation of patients with speech and language impairments, and to provide habilitative and rehabilitative treatment services.

Job Duties:

  • Administers and interprets routine and complex tests on speech and language impaired patients

  • Plans, conducts, and directs rehabilitative treatment programs to restore communication, voice, feeding and swallowing disorders

  • Documents findings, rehabilitative techniques, plan of care and patient progress

  • Instructs and demonstrates testing procedures and treatments to medical students and residents

  • Senior level staff also supervises clinical work of support personnel, graduate students and clinical fellows

Preferred Language:

English - bilingual Spanish is helpful, but not required.

Salary Range:

Commensurate with experience.
