REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and five years related experience.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
To provide analysis of high volume centralized scheduling center activities; to formulate recommendations designed to improve the operational effectiveness of the work area, increasing productivity and controlling costs; and to provide consulting support to management for program development and planning.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Contributes to the success of UTMB Managed Care Organization.
Conducts extensive analysis of departmental functions and procedures by using work simplification, organizational analysis, work measurement, staffing control and cost/benefit analysis.
Supervises the development and coordination of centralized scheduling center and scheduling personnel.
Oversees the preparation and documentation of recommendations and the implementation of new methods or systems that improve the operational effectiveness of the work area.
Creates and edits all departmental procedure manuals.
Monitors automatic call distributor system
Develops training program and staff development procedures.
Identifies appropriate internal controls for department; provides mechanisms to monitor and enforce compliance.
Performs related duties as required.
SALARY RANGE:
Salary commensurate with experience.
