Manufacturing Engineer Technician
Drasgow, Inc. is an ISO 9001:2015 certified Multi-Spindle Screw Machine Shop. We manufacture high volume precision turned small parts from bar stock on our Screw Machines. We produce original equipment mechanical Locking Fasteners for the Automotive Industry and Industrial Fasteners for Utility Companies. Drasgow, Inc. is a locally owned Small Business using Lean Manufacturing Principles and Just in Time Delivery to compete in an International Marketplace.
Job Type: Full-time
Objective: Plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes in industrial plant, evaluate effectiveness of tooling/process design and measures productivity changes. Analyzes workforce utilization and space requirements for maximum efficiency. Commitment to ensuring the achievement of continuous improvement throughout the Company.
Requirements:
1.High School diploma or GED with a Math background.
2.Five years experience in the Machine field or a two-year Technical Degree.
3.Computer background, Blueprint drafting and CAD experience is preferred.
4.Mechanically oriented hands-on person.
5.Ability to communicate effectively in English; both written and orally.
6.Be able to act in a professional manner in a supervisory position.
7.Be capable of working with others and training them.
8.Being mentally capable of following instructions (wearing safety glasses and hearing protection on the shop floor) and setting a good example for others.
9.Must be capable of being at work on time, working your full shift and be willing to work overtime as needed.
10.Be physically capable of standing, sitting, bending, kneeling at or on machines, lifting heavy motors and machine attachments; good flexibility and manual dexterity required.
Job Duties:
1.Maintain a positive work atmosphere and communicating in a professional manner.
2.Work as a team player, helping to meet departmental and Company goals and objectives.
3.Interface with the Plant manager, Production Team leader, Maintenance Team leader and Quality Assurance Team leader on a daily basis.
4.Learn and oversee the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.
5.Know the basic functions of all machines on the shop floor.
6.Create Screw machine set-up sheets and Update after each run.
7.Maintain tooling inventory, Order and Reorder tooling for all machines as needed.
8.Be responsible for Safety and Housekeeping on the shop floor.
9.Respond immediately to equipment related breakdowns, communicate with the operator in order to understand the extent of the problem, troubleshoot and repair equipment to ensure minimal down time.
10.Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods and training policies.
11.Oversee employees following the policies and procedures of this company.
12.Be familiar with the proper use of hand tools, measuring equipment and multimeters.
13.Read and understand electrical and mechanical blueprints, equipment and technical manuals.
14.Distribute, retrieve, and ship all electrical gloves for safety inspections.
15.Ensure all Building and Machine Maintenance is being completed on schedule.
16.Complete and oversee all required safety classes, trainings, and certifications.
17.Oversee and document material movement and maintain an accurate log.
18.Contact vendors to schedule service when necessary. Assist vendors as needed.
19.Do whatever is needed to complete your job and any other duties which may be assigned.

Salary Range is $22/hour - $32/hour, depending on experience
