Resource Management Coordinator Gainesville, FL This is a full time position. Starting salary is $41,000 - $45,100 annually.
LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is looking for an individual to join our team as aResource Management CoordinatorinGainesville, FL. This position is responsible for limiting outdates of all blood products, distribution of excess blood and blood products to other regions, and importing/exporting blood for the system as directed by the CEO and VP of Operations. This position is also responsible for helping ensure that products for manufacturing are received/shipped and paperwork is done according to SOP.

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to)
Perform quarterly and annual testing on equipment used by corporate hospital services staff
Assist with shipping in/out procedures for products for manufacturing
Complete and file all paperwork for the bi-weekly shipments and send to appropriate personnel
Monitor pickup schedule and times for shipments and coordinate with trucking companies
Train new employees within the department
Coordinate any repairs or special needs for freezers; perform validations for freezers after repairs and keep all records of maintenance
Follow-up with regions on critical equipment when alarming to ensure that they are following SOP and handling products appropriately
Install and maintain temperature monitoring system for all equipment and rooms with critical supplies, for all regions
Oversee and communicate regularly with University Air Center regarding the LifeSouth plane on issues such as maintenance, pilots, passengers, route changes, etc.
Immediately communicate any issues with plane (i.e. weather, delays, alternate landings, mechanical issues, etc.) to VP of Operations and Director of District Operations
Monitor and access inventory needs for entire organization
Coordinate with all regional hospital services staff on the movement of blood products nightly
Prepare daily reports to help communicate inventory levels and needs to the entire system
Assist CFO annually with end-of-year count
Communicate with partners of any issues/complaints with shipments to manufacturer
Receive and handle plasma service alert forms
Willingness and ability to travel is required
May be expected to be continuously on-call to fulfill the needs and obligations of the position
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
Valid driver's license required. Must meet and maintain LifeSouth driver's eligibility requirements
Basic computer skills and experience with computer programs such as MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
Knowledge of the FDA and AABB regulations and standards related to blood component storage and transportation
Understand basic inventory principles concerning blood components, including blood type compatibility and minimizing outdates
Excellent teamwork skills
Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred *Criminal background check and drug screen required upon conditional offer of hire*
