Job Description:

  • [40%]Responsible for assisting in all aspects of development, design, and execution of a broad range of projects and initiatives that support the Dean of Students Office, including the development, coordination, presentation, and assessment of educational content and outreach programs through multiple platforms to the University community.

  • [20%]Provides support for program strategy, evaluation, execution, and assessment to help improve overall functioning and effectiveness of the Dean of Students Office. Facilitates collaboration through meetings, workgroups, and dialogue with internal/external stakeholders to accomplish projects and initiatives that support the Dean of Students Office mission, values, and strategic framework.

  • [20%]Coordinates and provides leadership for marketing initiatives within the Dean of Students Office, including the preparation of presentations, report production (both periodic and specialized), speeches, print/electronic media, and other public materials as needed by the Dean of Students Office.

  • [10%]Collaborates to produce high-quality events and programs on behalf of the Dean of Students Office and represents the Dean of Students Office during engagements with other units, key stakeholders, and community members.

  • [5%]Contributes to the Division of Student Life and University of Florida through active participation on committees, departmental initiatives, and division-wide initiatives (example opportunities: emergency dean on call, conduct committee, student welcome events, etc.)

  • [5%]Performs other duties as assigned by the Dean of Students, Associate Dean of Students or another appropriate administrator, including cross-training/service in other areas within the Dean of Students Office.

Expected Salary:

$47,500 – $52,500

Minimum Requirements:

Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of relevant experience or a bachelor’s degree and four years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Evidence of establishing effective working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and other stakeholders.

Demonstrated prior experience with the establishment of program goals and measures, assessment practices, and continual improvement.

Demonstrated experience in producing high-quality events and programs, examples include large-scale events, presentations for internal/external stakeholders, in-person and virtual gatherings, and educational experiences.

Demonstrated skill in supervising part/full-time staff, including the full lifecycle of employment from recruitment to offboarding.

Master’s degree in marketing, communications, higher education, or a related field. Four years of professional experience is preferred
