Job Description:
College of Medicine's Office of Finance and Administration (COM-FA) is currently seeking an Accounting Specialist to join the Florida Clinical Practice Association (FCPA) Accounts Payable Team.
The Accounting Specialist for the Office of Finance and Administration oversees various accounting processes within the FCPA, manages disbursements, cash management activities, fixed assets, annual insurance needs, and AP-related interactions with TD Bank. Additional responsibilities include tracking real property leases, invoicing Shands 1/12th contracts, and reconciling payable contracts.

About This Role
FCPA Disbursements and Fixed Assets
Timely and accurate processing of all FCPA disbursements, maintaining detailed records for auditing and reporting, managing the inventory of FCPA fixed assets, and evaluating annual insurance coverage requirements.
Cash Management
Overseeing bi-weekly cash management processes, monitoring cash balances, and providing support for decision-making processes.
Contract Invoice and Reconciliation
Generating invoices for Shands 1/12th contracts, verifying invoice data, monitoring payment status, and conducting regular reconciliation of payable contracts.
TD Bank Liaison
Serving as the primary contact for all accounts payable interactions with TD Bank, addressing inquiries, and resolving AP transaction issues.
Real Property Leases
Maintaining a database of all real property leases associated with the College of Medicine, monitoring lease agreements, and providing updates to inform decision-making processes.

Expected Salary:
$54,000 - $60,000
Minimum Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and one year of appropriate experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
An ideal candidate will possess:
Familiarity with MS Dynamics SL Accounting System and PN3 Interface
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
Understanding of PeopleSoft and fiscal accounting modules
Knowledge of bookkeeping principles and office procedures
Ability to create, review, post, and balance fiscal records
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, managing shifting priorities and urgent tasks effectively
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Strong multi-tasking capabilities
High attention to detail and commitment to quality
