Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Programmer Analyst to join our team. The job primarily involves application development, maintenance programming, and other duties as directed by the supervisor. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical staff.

Responsibilities:

• Serve in any Programmer/Analyst capacity as directed by the supervisor

• Involved in all stages of application development including analysis, design, coding, testing, implementation, and documentation

• Perform maintenance programming tasks such as enhancing or correcting bugs in existing code

• Communicate complex technical ideas effectively to both technical and non-technical staff

• Work with RPG, Synon, and Microsoft SQL Server in performing tasks

• Train staff on new systems or software as needed

• Ensure all tasks and projects are completed in a timely and efficient manner

• Collaborate with Department Heads and other team members on various projects

• Stay updated on the latest industry trends and technologies to improve performance and functionality

• Perform other duties as specified by the supervisor.

Requirements • Proficiency in programming languages, particularly RPG and Synon is required.

• Demonstrable experience in using Microsoft SQL Server.

• Must possess strong analytical skills to understand and improve complex software systems.

• Excellent problem-solving skills are essential to identify and rectify potential programming errors.

• Must have the ability to work collaboratively within a team as well as independently.

• Strong knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.

• A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.

• Experience in developing, testing, and maintaining software applications.

• Must have the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

• Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

• Continuous learning mindset and staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.

• Strong attention to detail to ensure software operates as designed and intended.
