Actalent Phlebotomist in Fullerton, California
Job Title: PhlebotomistJob Description
We are seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist to join our team. This role involves traditional phlebotomy tasks, processing and centrifuging samples, and ensuring a high level of customer service. The position requires entering data using the System Touch system and performing a significant amount of blood draws, approximately 70% of the time. The candidate must be willing to float between locations from Newport Beach to Manhattan Beach.
Responsibilities
Performing up to 30 to 40 blood draws per day at a busy location.
Processing and centrifuging samples.
Entering orders and performing data entry using the System Touch system.
Providing excellent customer service.
Handling blood draws for a range of patients from pediatrics to geriatrics, including cancer patients.
Completing 25 observation collections and training on front desk duties.
Essential Skills
Phlebotomy certification.
Proficiency in data entry.
Excellent customer service skills.
Experience with medical record keeping.
Ability to perform blood draws and venipuncture.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in a hospital setting.
Experience with geriatric patients.
Ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment
The position is hubbed in Fountain Valley and requires floating between locations from Manhattan Beach to Newport Beach. Candidates will work 8-hour shifts, with start and end times varying between 6 AM and 6 PM depending on the location. Training consists of a 40-hour work week during the second week at locations in Wildomar, Tustin, and Los Angeles, with hotel accommodation provided if required.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.11 - $23.11/hr.
