The IT/Network Support Specialist, Sr. supports the Accessions Information Environment (AIE) PMO by providing technical support for the operation maintenance and accessibility of the hardware, software, and network resources leveraged by the organization and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite and remote support for AIE’s hardware, software, and the Army Network Enterprise Center (NEC) NIPR and SIPR connectivity and Virtual Private Networking (VPN) access, VTC/SVTC, and on-premises wireless networks.

  • Ensure all user-reported issues are addressed within 48-72 hours.

  • Process System Authorization Access Requests (SAAR) DD2875 for the establishment of user accounts and network access.

  • Troubleshoot/resolve and if required, submit trouble-tickets for the escalated resolution of IT user issues.

  • Develop and update IT Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

  • Process all wireless mobile devices (iPhone/iPad/MiFi) account/Purebred requests.

  • Maintain commercial wireless internet access, including configuring and managing the commercial wireless network for AIE users located in the PMO Headquarters buildings (e.g., Polk and Taylor)

  • Ensure the operational readiness of workstations by imaging or patching IT equipment when required.

  • Install software, patching, and imaging support for AIE’s IT hardware.

  • Coordinate software update compliance activities to ensure that government workstations are properly secure from cyber security threats.

  • Prepare and provide daily or weekly status reports on all outstanding tickets to leadership.

  • Maintain 100% accountability of software licenses including MS Project, MS Visio, Adobe Captivate, and other shared software licenses.

  • Submit and process all required Life Cycle Replacement (LCR) requests to the Army NEC and leadership.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • 10+ years of relevant work experience.

  • Must be Security+ certified and comply with DoD and Army training requirements outlined in DoDD 8140.03 within six months of hire.

  • Active Secret clearance.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Have proven interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style.

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

  • Experience as a certified scrum master, certified product owner, release train engineer, or Agile coach (desired).

  • Strong organizational, and time-management skills, able to convey information across multiple customers and corporate audiences.

  • Ability to facilitate larger sessions or events for product planning, etc.

  • Have the required skills, training, and experience necessary to use the following software program(s): Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook), and Microsoft Products (SharePoint, Visio, and Project).
