Compensation The base hourly rate for this position is $23.93.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities This is a quality control position working to perform the tasks associated with the manufacture of Thermo-1200 and Firetemp Calcium Silicate Insulation products. The essential duties and responsibilities include the following: Calsil Operations * Perform all tasks associated with a Calsil Operator II. * Raw Material receipt and associated rail car manipulation. * Raw Material prep, analysis, and stage/hold management. * Environmental monitoring and quality evaluations. * Calibrate analytical equipment; perform calculations, document results to permanent records in both written and electronic format. * Responsible for operating in conformance with the ISO certification held by the Fruita facility. * Prepare Calsil batch slurry consistently and accurately from raw materials. * Weigh and introduce raw materials consistently and accurately into a common tank. * Prepare HP slurry consistently and accurately from raw materials. * Transfer HP slurry to the ribbon mixer. * Operate the Hannifin Press utilizing the control systems. * Accurately and consistently record information.
Firetemp Operations * Control Room * Lead and coordinate setting up raw material amounts (weight and volume) * Set proper hydration levels on raw materials. * Oversee automated operation of mechanical systems * Adjust mechanical systems when necessary * Visual and physical checks on in-process product * Use dial caliper for manual measuring within 0.001 * Counting product and marking product and maintain written records. * High Bay * Making batches, add-mixing, and transferring batches. * Fill tank and reactors with slurry. * Clean tanks * Maintain proper levels of raw material inventory * Check pressure valves, change pressure vessel gaskets and rinse lines. * Physical samples and microscopy * Check on reacted slurry. * Sawyer * Service waste board and tipper hoppers.

Education and/or Experience and Skills * High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or up to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules. * Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. * Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. * Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
Certificates, Licenses and Registrations IIG Forklift Certified Tracmaster Certified
