Texas Health Resources RN (Registered Nurse)-Intensive Care Unit (ICU) -PRN II Nights (7P-7A) in Frisco, Texas

Registered Nurse (RN)—Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

We opened in January 2020 and looking for top talent to come join our already expanding Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Our ICU has state-of-the-art technology and is looking for members to share their skill and experience!

Texas Health Frisco is located at 12400 Dallas Parkway, Frisco, TX 75033

Work Schedule: PRN Nights; 7 PM - 7 AM, every other weekend and holiday requirements. PRN II would require a minimum of 3 shifts every 6 weeks with one shift required to be a weekend;

Intensive Care Unit Department highlights:

  • We have outgrown our initial needs and are expanding critical care service lines rapidly.

  • 14-bed General Acute Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

  • Swing-bed unit based on acuity level.

  • Experience with a variety of patients – CRRT, IABP (Balloon Pump), Post Cardiac-Arrest, EVD, post CCL, ARDS, prone therapy, Vasoactive drips, and step-down patients

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

EDUCATION:

  • Diploma of Nursing OR Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) required;

  • BSN preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 1 Year Experience as a clinical nurse (RN) or completion of an RN residency program Required;

  • Two (2) or more years’ current experience as an Acute ICU nurse is strongly preferred.

  • Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire.

  • RN must practice within the regulations of the Texas Nurse Practice Act, serve as a role model, intra/interdisciplinary collaborator and coordinator for quality patient care

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire

  • BCLS-Basic Cardiac Life Support – Prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly

  • ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support – Within 90 days of hire required

  • CPI-Crisis Prevention Intervention—within 30 days required
