Description:

Reporting to the PACS Admin/US Supervisor, Radiology Administration, this position is responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations in the areas of Breast (BR), Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN), Abdomen (AB), and Vascular ultrasound. The incumbent provides patient care and physician assistance during the performance of those examinations as well as Interventional procedures.

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

  2. Graduation from an accredited ultrasound program is required.

  3. Experience:

Level II: must have two (2) years of clinical experience.

Level III: must have three (3) years of clinical experience.

Level IV: must have five (5) years of clinical experience.

  1. Recent ultrasound experience in Breast, Abdomen, OB/GYN, and Vascular is preferred.

  2. Experience in an acute care setting is preferred.

  3. Certification:

Level I: Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)(BR, OB or AB), RT(S), Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) registry is required.

Level II: RVT or RVS registry is required.

Level III: RVT or RVS registry and at least one (1) additional American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) credential are required.

Level IV: RVT or RVS registry and at least two (2) additional ARDMS credentials are required.

  1. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR card is required.

  2. All levels are required to meet the corresponding Sonographer level requirements as listed in the departments "DIAGNOSTIC ULTRASONOGRAPHER PROFESSIONAL ADVANCEMENT PROGRAM" Document.

Pay Range:

$42.12 - 59.03

*May be adjusted based on career ladder placement.
