Description

We are in search of a diligent Commercial Credit Manager to join our team in the manufacturing industry. Based in Fremont, Ohio, the selected candidate will play a crucial role in managing our credit and collections processes. The position involves managing and improving our accounts receivable assets, credit risk analysis, and collection practices, as well as developing and implementing optimal procedures and internal control systems to enhance performance and customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the Credit and Collections Team.

• Assess the credit worthiness of new and existing customers using various sources of information.

• Develop and document policies, procedures, and internal controls regarding Credit and Accounts Receivable processes.

• Identify and implement opportunities for continuous process improvement.

• Manage collection of accounts by contacting customers and investigating non-payment circumstances.

• Maintain a system of regular activity reporting to monitor performance and evaluate results.

• Collaborate with the sales force leadership team while adhering to the company’s credit practices.

• Manage and modify collection policies, procedures, and standards.

• Utilize accounting software systems to ensure smooth month-end closing.

• Handle duties related to state sales tax laws and regulations.

• Promote and coordinate sales through credit extension to build long-term customer relationships.

• Utilize skills in Accounts Receivable (AR), Collection Processes, Credit - Commercial, Epicor, and Collections - Commercial to improve receivables and review customer orders for release.

Requirements • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a credit/collections supervisory or managerial role within the manufacturing industry.

• Proficient in accounting software systems.

• Demonstrable experience in managing accounts receivable (AR).

• Expertise in collection processes, including credit and collections in a commercial environment.

• Experience with Epicor software system.

• Familiarity with commercial collections processes and best practices.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.

• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

• Proven track record of successfully leading and motivating a team.

• Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations in credit and collections.
