Universal Health Services Utilization Management RN - Per Diem in FREMONT, California

We are currently hiring a per diem Utilization Management Registered Nurse (RN) for Fremont Hospital!

The per diem Utilization Management RN is responsible for the facilitation of clinically pertinent reviews on patient admissions for continued stay reviews including completion of certifications. The Utilization Management RN will interface with managed care organizations, external reviewers and other payers to ensure that the admission, continued stay, and discharge plan complie utilizations with TJC, HCFA, and established utilization management policies and procedures. On-going discharge planning documentation will be audited by the UM /Discharge planning staff with follow-up/coordination with the appropriate disciplines.

Fremont Hospital is a fully accredited, 148-bed private inpatient psychiatric hospital providing quality care for children through adults. The facility provides a full assortment of care which includes assessments, inpatient psychiatric hospitalization, partial-hospitalization, intensive outpatient psychiatric treatment as well as chemical dependency outpatient care.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Graduation from an accredited clinical program in Nursing, Social Services or related Mental Health.

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

    Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years direct clinical experience in a health care setting. Requires experience and/or certification in utilization management, managed care or a related role .

    Licensure/Certifications:

  • RN in state of California. Completion of CPR Certification.
