Job Title: Mechanical Assembler
Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Mechanical Assembler to join our team. This position offers an hourly wage of $20-21 and follows a schedule of 7am-3:30pm, Monday through Friday. The ideal candidate will have a high school education and some experience in manufacturing, as well as skills in print reading, wire dressing, and the use of hand and power tools.
Responsibilities
Mechanical assembly of extrusion frames.
Minimal electro-mechanical assembly using proper grounding techniques.
Following work instructions and performing repetitive assembly operations.
Producing quality work to specified time standards.
Executing in-process checks using visual inspection and measurements.
Possessing an aptitude for cross-functional training to reduce takt time.
Utilizing a variety of hand tools such as screwdrivers, hex keys, drills, saws, tape measures, and fixtures.
Coordinating with teammates to manually integrate large subassemblies to complete a final assembly.
Willingness to work overtime as needed.
Essential Skills
Ability to read and write in English.
Basic print reading and experience in wire dressing and termination.
Proficiency in reading and measuring using a tape measure.
Experience operating hand pallet jacks to move material within the plant.
Familiarity with soldering, cable assembly, control panels, and mechanical and electrical assembly.
Experience with wiring harnesses or components and various wire gauges, types, and sizes.
Ability to work from blueprints/schematics.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Some manufacturing experience desired.
Experience with ladder logic schematics is a plus.
Experience with drilling and tapping sheet metal is a plus.
Ability to use basic hand tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, tape measure, allen wrenches).
Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 30 pounds, and perform physical movements such as squatting, bending, and reaching.
Experience in mechanical assembly tasks or working with extrusion frames is a plus.
Experience with electro-mechanical assembly or grounding techniques is a plus.

Work Environment
Working conditions are typical of a manufacturing environment. Safety equipment such as eye safety glasses and safety shoes are required. Loose-fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted. The job involves frequent lifting of materials up to 30 pounds, frequent use of hand tools, and long periods of standing.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
