We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) part of the US Army's Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation stop-fold tilt-rotor. This position is onsite in Fort Worth.

What you'll be doing as a Principal Quality Assurance Specialist
Serve as the primary Quality point of contact for actions to resolve quality issues in our manufacturing centers.Lead Quality assignments requiring independent evaluation, selection, and application of standard Quality techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgment and ingenuity in making adaptations and modifications.Lead and coach cross-functional teams in corrective action and continuous improvement projects to enhance quality and compliance to aerospace standards, regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures.Perform Quality Management System assignments requiring AS9100 and AS9110 system knowledge, auditing, manufacturing process reviews, root cause and corrective action analysis, process and procedure development and revision, data analysis and reporting, preventing, and containing quality issues from becoming quality escapes to customers, communicating quality issues with integrated operations leadership, and regulatory and customer representatives.Lead and manage teams in the development of new or revision of existing policies and procedures.Interface with Supplier Quality Assurance to collaborate and facilitate supplier quality issue resolution.Lead quality and process engineering teams in the performance of QMS and manufacturing process reviews and audits.Support and advise the Quality Culture and Compliance team in their planning and execution of compliance activities.Participate in Contract Data Requirements List development, review and delivery to the customer as required by the assigned project(s).Assist in developing fabrication/build processes and standards.Interface with internal/external organizations and systems in performance of the assigned Quality functions.Communicate at an executive level in both written and verbal communications, with all the interfacing functions.Maintain exemplary interpersonal and leadership skills necessary to lead through technical and professional expertise and experience.
Qualifications
Skills You Bring To this Role
Ability to effectively and efficiently lead cross-functional teams through excellent written and oral communication skills.Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems, standards (AS9100 and AS9110), and concepts.Superb lean six sigma (LSS) root cause corrective action skills coupled with strong data oriented, analytical, and complex problem-solving skills.Must be able to build and maintain effective relationships within Bell, with our customers and regulatory agencies to confidently communicate complex technical issues completely and concisely.Software system knowledge and skills (MS Word, Power Point, Excel, CAMs, PEO, CATIA/3DX, MES, Power BI, SAP, CAMs).Proficiency in root cause analysis and corrective action, preventive action tools and techniques, quality control, continuous improvement, Lean, and Six Sigma tools.
What you need to be successful
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply chain, or related field.Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or higher certification required.10 or more years of experience as a quality operations specialist or engineer, preferably in the aerospace industry, or automotive or other manufacturing industries.
