Medical Office Receptionist – Family Care Clinic – Full-Time, Days Fast-paced, high-volume clinic is looking for top skilled Medical Office Receptionist Work location: 6401 Harris Parkway, Fort Worth, TX 76132 Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday – Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm Family Care Clinic Department Highlights:

  • Manage Front Desk Staff on day-to-day operation.

  • Assists in identifying and providing guidance in resolving operations issues.

  • Coordinates general front office activities including, but not limited to: Registration, TOS Collections, Verification of Benefits, Appointment Scheduling, Daily Billing, Daily Reconciliations and other related duties.

  • Assists the Practice Manager with ensuring appropriate staffing coverage at all times.

  • Assists the Practice Manager with the new hire or reoccurring training processes.

  • Assists the Practice Manager with facilitating training of new hires and other training.

Here’s What You Need

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)

  • Six months Medical experience in a Clinic (preferred)

  • Six months Business Office Customer Service experience (preferred)

  • Be an outgoing individual with a friendly attitude

  • Have strong attention to detail

  • Be able to multi-task front desk job responsibilities for a busy Family Practice/Internal Medicine Clinic

  • Must have outstanding communication, interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills

  • Have knowledge of insurance authorization/billing requirements

  • Have demonstrated strong customer service and communication skills

  • Have organizational and time management skills

  • Be proficient computer skills

  • Have knowledge of clinic procedures and regulatory requirements

  • Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism

  • Be a team player who handles multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

What You Will Do

  • Delivers care to patients utilizing the Medical Office Receptionist Process

  • Under direct supervision, performs patient check-in at the time of visit and completes all paperwork necessary to ensure the admitting process is efficient and all clinic and regulatory policies are in compliance.

  • Answers phone calls and directs them appropriately.

  • Schedules appointments according to office guideline.

  • Obtains accurate patient and insurance information, collecting copays and deductible amounts.

  • Copies/scans patient access related hard copy materials (e.g., ID, referrals, insurance cards, etc.) into the correct location in the electronic medical record.

  • Prepares charts for patient appointments making sure all necessary information is complete.

  • Conducts all functions associated with patient check-out including pricing services, collecting patient responsibility payments, and scheduling follow-up appointments.

  • Performs duties involving record filing and retrieval and assisting with the filing of registration documentation in electronic medical records.

  • Confirms next day appointments and alerts patients as to what documentation is needed, including details associated with time-of-service payment.

  • Follows up with patients regarding the Missed Appointment Policy and sends out the appropriate communications.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
