Construction Records Auditor III:Audits and conducts final review of construction project records for $50 million or more of construction contract work; verifies contractor compliance with state and federal requirements and trains others. Employees at this level perform work independently on assignments; however, all unusual issues are referred to the supervisor.Essential Duties:Construction Records Auditor III:Acts as liaison and assists with Federal Highway Administration and departmental reviews of construction records.Advises contractors' bookkeepers on record-keeping procedures.Assists area engineers by providing direction and technical expertise in resolving contract administration problems.Performs and reviews construction records audits and coordinates with area engineers on monthly and final estimates,change orders, supplemental agreements and work ordersPerforms final review of contracts.Prepares related correspondence and reports.Represents district or Construction Division at meetings regarding contract administration.
