Robert Half Accounting Clerk in Fort Worth, Texas

Description We are in the financial services industry, seeking an Accounting Clerk to join our team in Fort Worth, Texas. The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for a variety of tasks including processing customer credit applications, maintaining customer credit records, and resolving customer credit inquiries. This role also involves monitoring customer credit accounts and taking appropriate action to collect delinquent payments.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process customer credit applications in a timely manner

• Maintain up-to-date and precise customer credit records

• Address and resolve customer credit inquiries promptly

• Monitor customer credit accounts regularly

• Take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments

• Perform general ledger and journal entries

• Conduct account reconciliation tasks as needed

• Handle accounts payable and receivable

• Manage data entry and invoice processing tasks

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for VLOOKUPS and Pivot Tables. Requirements

• Must possess at least 2 years of experience in the role of an Accounting Clerk within the Financial Services industry.

• Demonstrated proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR) is essential.

• Experience with Billing, Data Entry, and Invoice Processing is necessary for this role.

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for various accounting functions is required.

• Familiarity with Journal Entries and General Ledger maintenance is a must.

• The candidate should hold a strong ethical code and maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.

• Strong organization skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively under pressure are necessary.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required for interacting with various departments and stakeholders.

• The candidate should have the ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively in a team.

• Flexibility to adapt to new software and technology systems related to accounting is expected.

• Must have the ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.

• Candidates should have a strong understanding of regulatory standards and compliance requirements within the Financial Services industry.

• Previous experience with financial software and systems would be viewed favorably.
