Description We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated individual to fill the role of an Accounting Clerk in the bustling city of FORT WAYNE, Indiana, United States. This position is located in a professional office setting and offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. As an Accounting Clerk, you will be instrumental in maintaining our company's financial health by managing customer credit applications and records, processing expenses, and handling various accounting tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process customer credit applications in a timely manner.

• Maintain up-to-date and accurate customer credit records.

• Resolve customer credit inquiries promptly and professionally.

• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate actions for delinquent payments.

• Process expenses and expense reports efficiently.

• Navigate through manual processes to ensure all accounting tasks are completed.

• Utilize software such as Concur Expense and QuickBooks for various accounting tasks.

• Leverage Microsoft Excel for data entry, analysis, and reporting.

• Maintain a high level of accuracy in payment processing.

• Have the option to work remotely a few days a week after becoming an established employee. Requirements • Proficiency in Concur Expense is required

• Must have experience with QuickBooks

• Experience in Payment Processing is required

• Ability to Process Expense Reports is essential

• Familiarity with Manual Processes is necessary

• Must have proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• A degree in Accounting or related field is preferred

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to multitask and prioritize workload efficiently

• Must have excellent time management skills

• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions

• Must be able to work in a team environment and collaborate with various departments

• Previous experience in an accounting role is preferred.
